Blink: Okay, these style episodes are not very loved by me. Normally I don't like them at all, or only like one character or one thing about the episode and the rest makes me cringe. Blink, however, was amazing. And Sally is pretty.
And, normally, the absence of the Doctor is a rather large gap... I can say that I didn't really notice, and when he did show up it was like: Oh, look! Funny man saying funny things, LOVE! Now back to pretty girl with dimples.
I knew from the preview at the end of Family of Blood that this would really, seriously freak me out. Watching it late at night also didn't do much to help. Nor did the Psycho-theme music. Everytime a statue moved or appeared out of nowhere (or disappeared for that matter), I twitched and got really paranoid if I turned around there'd be a statue behind me (I don't think I'll be able to walk past any statue without suspicion nowadays).
I just about died when the TARDIS was disappearing as well and shouting that the Doctor is a moron and he's left them there to die. But he didn't. He saved them. Although, if you look carefully, one Angel is not being looked at by any of the others. It's looking at another but not being looked at.
The message underneath the wallpaper was typically Ten that I laughed so hard when Sally was revealed each part of it. Love from the Doctor (1969).
Billy Shipton: But, that's not the big question. See, you're missing the big question.
Sally Sparrow: Okay, what's the big question?
BS: Will you have a drink with me?
SS: I'm sorry.
BS: Drink. You. Me. Now.
SS: Aren't you on duty, Detective Inspector Shipton?
BS: Nope, knocked off before I left. Told them I had a family crisis.
SS: Why?
BS: Because life is short, and you are hot. Drink?
I loved Billy. Such an adorable character. How can you not? And it broke my heart late when old!Billy said 'Because life is long and you are hot.' Except, something I noticed just then, his initials are BS. *immature*
"I've learned to stay away from hens. It's not pretty when they blow."
Also, I want a friend who wouldn't be fazed by me turning up at their house and making coffee in their kitchen at 1AM, then calling them to tell them I'm there.
For a show about time travelling it's good to have an episode heavily about it. Methinks that there will be an Easter Egg on the DVDs, of the Doctor's half of the transcript. Finally, Sally Sparrow: Future Companion? Y/N? *wants*

__kali__. Now, I could leave it at that, but it's me. And we all know I like to ramble. So, I'm going to ramble. But I've only watched this epsisode once (I was too busy spamming today to rewatch it).
I flailed everytime Jack introduced himself to someone and the Doctor told him to stop. And when they're trying to intervene with the hunt, Jack laughing and saying "Oh-hoho, I missed this!". And just being there to take the Doctor's coat as soon as he takes it off.
HE TOOK THE HAND WITH HIM! MARTHA FINDING IT AND TAKING A WHILE TO GRASP THE WHORE REGROWING A HAND CONCEPT!
Chantho "swearing" and then giggling like a 6 year-old made me giggle like a 6 year-old. Did anyone catch what the Doctor said when Jack electrocuted himself? It was "Don't he's going to" then I can't figure out the rest.
Martha: I don't actually mind that she gets a tad annoyed about all the Rose talk. It fits. Because she doesn't know Rose, and the Doctor and Jack both knew her and loved her. She did all these amazing stupid human things. Martha's taken Rose's place, but obviously feels that she doesn't have the slightest chance to fill those shoes.
Jack: He's at home. I think the only time he would ever be comfortable following someone else, taking orders from someone else would be when he's with the Doctor. He's more relaxed, the whole world isn't on his shoulders (well, it still or of is, but the responsibility has shifted a little). Having watched TORCHWOOD on TV tonight (!!!) and even though it's only episode 1, he is guarded. I never really noticed before because it fit when he was with TORCHWOOD. I would like to see him like this in TORCHWOOD at somepoint (with Ianto?).
The Doctor: I do like his opinions of Jack being 'wrong' and that was why he ran, because in his nature he can feel what happened was not right. And his change as soon as Martha told him about the watch, his fear and anger.
prettyquotable I am tempted to steal your collage again (previously stolen during the aforementione spamming) just because it is such a good scene.
YANA - You Are Not Alone. Pfft. Lame. BUT BUT BUT! THE MASTER! *dances* I hope he lives through the finale to fight another day. I really, really, really can not wait for next week and the week after.
Oh, and John Simm, beware. I want to icon you now. "Bye-bye!"
You know, I completely forgot Martha and Jack were trying to close the door to keep out the Future-kind. All I was worried about was how the hell they were going to get back to the 21st century. I guess the Doctor could try to fix Jack 'space-hopper', but to transport three people? Hmmm.
9/10 because it deserves it.
Weekend:
Saturday, I had work, and after I picked
watchmecorrode up. We tried to drive to
charlichocer's, but somehow wound up in Dandenong, before turning around and going the right way. Not to mention my driving has been really dodgy - I need to calm down and focus a bit more.
But, um, yeah, I've been doing some really stupid things outside of driving. I've told people already, but my latest phone bill was triple the usual amount because I forgot to hang up on one call, thus, that single call cost $75. ^^;;
On Sunday, I watched Who. And then I pretty much spoke in caps the rest of the day. And through all the comments I posted in
goldie's spam post that day. The ones from today (Monday) are mostly normal... aside from the threads with Iso. ETA: I AM HOLDING ISO'S BRAIN FOR RANSOM. /ETA
And tonight, TORCHWOOD WAS ON TV. IN AUSTRALIA. ON THE TEN NETWORK. THAT IS PRETTY COOL. I HOPE THEY GOT GOOD RATINGS. Oh, and yeah, I also got Fallout Boy tickets.
And, flist, my friend's page is now titled the same as the subject of this entry. Hope you like it. ^^ ♥
