Keep on keeping on

Counting down to the trip and getting more and more excited every day. The whole Andrew McMahon performance is sending my heart a flutter. I really, really want to go, but we'll see how things pan out. I realise I've been like a broken record about this - it's what's keeping me sane right now.

The drama going on at work is still going and I'm doing what I do best: trying to ignore it and pulling my hair out or exhausting myself elsewhere because I'm not actually ignoring it. But, on the good side, I've managed to split my role up between four people for while I'm away! I keep worrying I'll be giving them all too much. Have to try to remember that it's my role which is a role for one person, split between four so it's not overloading anyone.

I got told off by a friend because I said I can still answer texts while I'm away. I've become a workaholic. /o\ WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN?

The little brother, who is actually taller than me and not so little, is moving to London next month. I think I've mentioned it before, but what I failed to mention was my parents will be gallivanting around the world for two months next year as well.

I'll be all alone. :(

You guys, I have a really big house that you're all welcome to live in for those two months. We'll just ignore that there's kind of awkward public transport in my suburb and pretend it will be a wonderful party. I get lonely :(

Now for some links:
1. Jewellery made out of books. The bookworm in me is torn between "no not the precious books" and "i can wear a book without getting stared at?"
2. Only Cupcakes because I didn't cook this weekend and now all I want to make are cookie monster cupcakes.
3. There is no 3.

I want to buy a volcano!

Saturday night was Jamie's 22nd. I dressed him up in all things orange. Plus gave him an orange. He's my favourite.

My damsel in distress is my favourite too, and she knows why.

I bought Simple Plan tickets.

Frontier Touring sent me three copies of the same email.

I am going to struggle at work for the next two weeks. I actually just left at 4:45 ignoring the remaining three hours of work I had left. I'm considering asking to go back to head office at the end of this week, even though right now I am only a 5 minute drive from home. Peace of mind has far greater value than an extra half-hour of sleep.

The ball is this Friday. I have a dress. I've booked my hair appointment (just getting it cut, and wearing it out). We have pre-drinks planned. We have also come up with a plan to avoid Sean all night. All I need to do now is charge my camera batteries and hide my phone.

I blew another light globe and caused the toaster to short out.

I owe so much to certain people. From me to you, thank you. Making me cry and laugh and spin so fast I can't keep up with the world. I wouldn't have it any other way.

There's also this, which I just found:
*intimidates* )

So, I'll leave you with a smile on my face before I either nod off at my desk or go to bed.

I could walk around my suburb and get really bored?

I was meant to be going ice-skating tomorrow, but friends had things come up and it's all been cancelled. Maybe I'll work on updating the resume I need to do for my class.

I was really looking forward to going too. I haven't been in years.

Someone suggest something I can do tomorrow, aside from work, cleaning or lazing around all day. I am stumped for ideas that result in me getting out of the house (driving aimlessly does not count). Do any Melbournians have no plans and are willing to put up with me for an hour? Anyone want to catch up? I'm meant to be on winter break, not studying for classes. I think I'll be insane before next week is out.

I do realise it is 10.50pm, but hey, someone might be reading.

All smiles, and maybe a few bruises from falling off the swing set.

I can officially say that my winter semester subject is one of the most pointless things in the history of the world. Much like wearing sunglasses at night. Completely and utterly ridiculous and a waste of holidays. I'm fairly sure that having lived nineteen and a half years, I know how to communicate formally in the workplace fairly effectively. The subject isn't even for credit. It's a requirement to go on placement, but other than that you don't pay for it and it doesn't help your average, it merely repeats things that have been drilled into our heads since approximately year 10, if not before then.

At least in two weeks I'll be so busy I won't have time to sneeze.

Things that have happened in the past couple of days:
- Mail.
- Strings for The Unknown and currently unnamed.
- HOWL first pressing.
- Jane Vinyl/Marly/Ciaran/Silly AUs/Boys Like Girls/Picspams
- ...more!

Let me know what's up with you all, I feel like, no, scrap that, I know I haven't heard from many of you in so long. I miss talking and knowing how your lives are going.

It's winter! Brrrrr.

On Thursday night, Tegs and I went to see Kisschasy with The Donnas and The Getaway Plan!

The day started off with handing my final assignment in, and then falling asleep in a lecture before we went back to Tegs' place and waited to leave. We got to The Metro The Palace just over an hour before doors.

without you I'm just bones and skin )

I have a whole lot more to write about (Friday - dinner with uni friends, and Saturday - My Fair Lady) but it's late, and I haven't been sleeping well - actually, I've been sleeping until mid-day most days... Not good! Especially since exams are starting, but yes, I need to fix my sleeping pattern.

Study, study, study!

1. I brought a Ciaran home, can I keep her?

2. I'm laughing at [livejournal.com profile] ontd_twilight. Seriously, who gives a flying fuck.

Ciaran is proving she's here by taking photos. See?

Now, hopefully I remember how to get to the airport...

Last couple of days have been fantastic because of Twilight Chat, Twilight On Crack, Easter chocolate, and the fact that this time tomorrow, it will be physically possible for me to tackle hug Ciaran. *__________*

I still have to clean. I don't think I'll be able to sleep I'm so excited.

So, yes, if anything absolutely crazy shows up on here over the next four days all I can do is grin at you. Like dis .

Hello, to all the new people on flist (I am moderately sane despite what you've seen in chat). There have been more Twilight related posts on my friends page in the past weekend than there have been in the past 2 years.

Ah, just remembered, I have to get a Citylink pass. *goes and looks that up*

Changing icons around soon...

Today I finally applied for a character at Brawl after all my fluttering with other characters and fandoms. And then wasted time making icons for said character instead of making the invitation for Mum's 50th. Speaking of which, I'm working on it now and well and it's not looking too bad. I might get Mum to look at it now and choose a background.

Taken from [livejournal.com profile] prettyquotable, because why not?

Reply to this post, and I will list three things I love about you. Then repost to your own journal and do the same.

Numbers seem like a good idea today.

1) It's too hot today. I'm just sitting around thinking "Ew, summer" and then mum tells me that it's going to be 41 degrees on Monday. *dies* I don't like hot weather, warm is fine, but hot is just gross. :|

2) Yesterday Mum and I saw Enchanted. Such a feel good film. Left it laughing and all smiles. Mum didn't realise it was actually a kids film. But, it was fantastic, and I'll so see it again if anyone else wants too. 5 films left on my To-See list now.

3) Pimping: DOCTOR WHO LOVE MEME! This makes me happy because it reminds me why the series is such gold and all the things that make me love it. Granted the fandom gets batshit crazy, but this post turns it all around. More than 10 pages of love so far, and still rising.

4) My wallet was in the back of my locker at work. Such a relief when I got to work on Wednesday to find it. I didn't want to have to go through all the trouble to replace my IDs, etc. Speaking of work: it's died down some now, which I'm glad for. I'm looking forward to a 3-hour shift again, and am refusing to work more time on any of my shifts at the moment (tired). Oh, Store manager was nice on Boxing Day, helped out so we could get out of the store on time.

5) Went to the optometrist today. My eyes haven't changed, they're the same as they were last year which is a good sign if I wanted to get laser surgery sometime soon - but I don't. Not soon anyway. In a couple of years, I think.

6) I'm back at uni in two weeks. ;_;

7) A present for Howie. ^^

8) There is going to be a Dead Like Me movie. *______* Found this out last week, but sort of forgot.

And, that's about it for now, so back to adding album covers to my iPod.

You can breathe, but the air is running out.

Today has been sort of busy. Or, just, well, full of random things.

Jacqui sent Mum an email and mentioned that I'm going to kill her. Why? Because she's seeing Avenue Q tonight. ahjdsjkashdjkasgdjkahsgdsa *green* When will it come to Australia? Or when will I be able to go overseas to see it? I'll just have to content myself with the soundtrack for the time being. :|

My aunt also called this evening. The aunt I have met, but have no memory of meeting because I was 18 months old. She spoke to Mum, and when Mum got off the phone her face was all "O_o" because my dad's sister refuses to be involved with any of the family... except that she knows a lot about us. Like the fact us kids are at university now, what suburb we live in and that Dad closed the company. My parents and I have a theory: She has hired spies to keep tabs on us.

Anyway, earlier today I went to the city with Tegs, one of my uni friends (After trains failing tremendously and getting into the city half and hour later than scheduled). We did a bit of shopping, and I tried to get the last two Christmas presents I need, but did the three bookstores have the book I want to get for my mum? Nope. Looks like I'll have to get it at work tomorrow on my break, provided it's there. Still, I bought a few tops and got the next Hana-Kimi volume.

Then, on the way home, the train I was going to catch was cancelled, so I had to wait around for the next one. Nothing big, but in the meantime it starts to pour and there is thunder and lightning. And I'm jumping around like a kid at Christmas, grinning while all the other passengers huddle under the centre of the platform to avoid the rain the wind is blowing under the roof!

The train home also epically failed, because of Caufield Station throwing a tantrum and causing problems, and flooding from the storm, as well as power failures. So, we kept stopping between stations. Southland, apparently, lost power for over an hour and everyone was kicked out. That and it was raining inside the building. Two trams were struck by lightning as well. And my Dad got stuck in the city because there were no trains running on the Sandringham Line, due to flooding, so he couldn't get back to his car. There is meant to be more of this weather tomorrow! And then 16 degrees Celcius on Saturday.

What is this 'summer'? I know of no such thing.

Only complaint about the rain: it damaged one of my Kate Forsyth books. I blow dried it earlier, and now it's being flattened under my sister's Jane Austen: The Complete Novels, my Sword of Shanara and the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy hardcovers. All books I am part way through reading, but stopped to reread the Kate Forsyth book. Hopefully there isn't too much lasting damage from the water.

I also broke my bag again. Not that I really repaired it in the first place. Staples are not suitable for permanent reatachment. I need to sew the strap properly, but knowing me, I'll use the stapler again. ^^;;

Working tomorrow night, all day Saturday and Monday afternoon (Not Sunday - family Christmas). Remember all this is right before Christmas. Insane customers, crazy stress. I'm loving my new manager though because she's awesome and essentially told me it wouldn't matter if I came in on New Years morning hungover, because the only customers in the store would be hungover too. Not to mention the rest of the staff. XD

There are a few movies coming out in the next few weeks that I want to see. 27 Dresses, Atonement, Enchanted, The Northern Lights Golden Compass, and P.S I Love You.

That's getting rather long, so I might cut it off here! :*

...Why do I always have to confirm I'm human?

1. Xmas Love Meme? (New link in case you didn't get a chance, because the previous entry maxed out comments)

B. Threadless reprinted Breaking the Sound of Music. I think I'm going to buy it when I get paid tomorrow.

III. Morgan had surgery yesteday, they removed 6 of his teeth, and next month he gets his braces. In a year and a bit, he has another where they're going to break his jaw and remove some bone to reposition it. But, for now, his face is all puffy. XD

四. Jacqui left this morning. ;___; It's sort of hard not knowing when she's going to come back. I know if Mel finally sets a date for her wedding, we'll see her then (Jacqui is a bridesmaid), but other than that, no clue. It's also stressful because she doesn't have a job waiting, she doesn't have accomodation (other than staying in a hostel). My sister, so silly.

♠ I really don't know what I'd do without you.

I like it when people spam randomly

I have skittles, coke and multeasers. If you'd asked me half-an-hour ago I would have had McDonalds too. But, yeah, eating happy food. My exam did not go too well... I wasn't the only one though, so I'm desperately hoping for some extreme scaling. In the meantime, Jacqui and I are celebrating.

Tomorrow I have work, and [livejournal.com profile] watchmecorrode is coming over after. I also intend to do some iconning... because I've been told that it does wonders for happiness. ^^

I will get around to writing a review for Blink, but I'll probably combine it with the one for Utopia this weekend. TWO DAYS!!! Jack! I was listening to the radio while driving home and they keep playing TORCHWOOD adds. Monday. 9.40 Monday, after Supernatural. Everyone watch it, even if you have no idea what the hell is going on.

And Melbourne weather at the moment! All that fog! I woke up, thought is was nothing. At 12, it was still there (had lifted a little) and it was even worse when I got out of my exam, although it apparently it was fine at about 3.30. Never driven when it was foggy before. It was so dark by the time I got home. Really hard to see.

In the mean time, I'm going to watch Jacqui continue playing FF-VIII, and then watch FNL because seeing idiots make fools of themselves on TV is fun.

What has everyone else been up to?

WARNING: PRINCE OF TENNIS POST OF MASSIVE PROPORTIONS.

These are my insane commentaries from the past couple of weeks watching Prince of Tennis. No doubt none of you will read this, but I suppose if you either love PoT so much you'll read anything or are bored out of your skull, you'll give it a whirl.

Prince of Tennis - Episodes 136 - 163 )

You know, [livejournal.com profile] agonizingmercy, you'd better get a move on, otherwise I'll beat you to the finish line.

- There's a week left of this month (internet month) and I've kind of hit the limit. ^^;; What? Heroes is awesome and I couldn't stop watching it. And now there's Hana-Kimi live action, new Grey's Anatomy, still more Heroes to see and random browsing... >.<
- I'm seeing Marie Antoinette tonight because my mum wants to see it. I also have to see it with the History freaks. ;p
- My sister is in Brussels at the moment, since she's finished her course in France.
- Seeing Night at the Museum next week, and catching up with people I haven't seen since last year.
- [livejournal.com profile] watchmecorrode: Heroes Marathon, when? Before or after Big Day Out?
- Is there a Torchwood mood theme anywhere? I've been looking around but haven't seemed to run into any.

'Sup, flist?
